VERIFIED AFFIDAVIT OF DEFENDANT VERIFIED AFFIDAVIT OF DEFENDANT AFFIDAVIT OF CODY RICE-VELASQUEZ

I, Cody Rice-Velasquez, being first duly sworn, state as follows:

1. I was never personally served with any summons, complaint, or foreclosure notices.
2. No one ever handed me documents, and I never received certified mail regarding this case.
3. I did not receive any “Demand for Possession” after the sheriff sale.
4. I only saw notices about a sheriff sale—never notices telling me to vacate.
5. I suffer from disability-related impairments (ADHD, anxiety) which affect my ability to process overwhelming or irregular communications.
6. During 2024–2025 I was experiencing severe instability, including loss of utilities, medical issues, safety threats in the home, homelessness episodes, and lack of transportation.
7. Because I was not properly notified of this lawsuit, I was unable to defend myself.
8. I respectfully request relief as set forth in my motions.
